Paint It Blank (Should I Buy a Camera?)

Because these photos are magazine pages that are just re-shot with a phone cam and edited with iPhoto, would I be the only "blogger" who doesn't own a kickazz camera?
Must all bloggers really have a cam? Do bloggers have to constantly take a picture of their face and regularly show what they're wearing thru pics? Can't I just grab on to 1 finger nail?
I don't get lookbook. I don't get chictopia either. The world should run free. It's not nice to become a fashion victim.
I really don't understand that fashion toast chick, also. Maybe you can explain. Thanks. XOXO.

Pasta is No Good with No Wine

You’re gonna read it again, pasta ain’t no good with no wine… so I almost always eat it with one. You know, eat pasta with wine and all is what I’m saying.

It's too much like yesterday's news today. But curator/novelist Peter Doyle serves up hot cocoa for chutzpah in his work "City of Shadows: Sydney Police Photographs 1912-1948". Here's my fave page:

On a completely different note, as usual, Camille Bidault-Waddington (in the below pic) - who is a Marc Jacob (eww...) consultant and a freelance stylist who's formerly tied with Pulp frontman Jarvis CRACKER - she has that ability to grow on you. I now think she's a sweetheart. I mean, anyone who gets quoted by Brit Vogue saying "I'm a complete fascist about clothes." is... lovable.
Alright, on what to do about Martin Margiela's abandonement of the fashion industry, NOT MUCH. But I like Chloe's Hannah McGibbon's easy, unpretentious swagger. She's still not my fave designer. But I do like her, yes. You familiar with the expression about a sniff of fresh air something for your minty breath and all? Well, it does kinda feel like that and stuff. Whiff.
Heck, yeah. You know me too well (damm, you're creepy), if you've sort of figured that I want them Chloe boots.

Hindsight Is Always 20/20

Black? Check. White? Check. Sheer? Check. Bondage? Check. A shock of color? Check. Skeletal Clothes? Check. Black pants? Check. Sheer? Check. "Felix the Cat"? Check.

If I had these in my closet, I think I'd be good for the next 10 years. Or maybe 20 years. I don't care if I'll look so noughties in these but
the whole thing is right up my alley and I know some people who look so eighties since the eighties.

Nobody Butchoo! (Just Kidding)

Tada! Let's begin with your permission to lemme show off my new Gian Romano granite-silver shoes from his SS 2010 Collection, 'cos they're gorgeouzz.

Speaking of gorging, thanks to Triski Nurani (Street Peeper's "Kiki", I Love Glam, Rotten Fresh and Blackout), I got to hang out with The Misshapes in Jakarta. I took this "paparazzi" shot from Kiki's camera. (Really, should I buy a camera?)
Geo here trying on a Sultan-ish jacket in some department store we went to. He's so hot-pretty and funny-witty. I fell in love with him.
In fact, I fell absolutely in love with Leigh, too.
With Geo in the pic below is the fab owner of these photos - Kiki. (Should I have told her I'm posting some of her photos before I went on with it?) ;p Anyhoo, Geo wears pants that he DIY-ed. The jacket is by his pal, Spanish Designer David Delfin. Nice, eh?
Another shot of Leigh...too bad Kiki din't catch her Givenchy shoes in full. Bleh. (Truth is, I can't even do a "click to enlarge" on these photos. So should I buy my own cam for next time's sake? Hmm?)
Like, seriously, The Misshapes look so cold in photos. But in person, they're amazingly warm and sooo fun. ;D
So there, 'twas a cool thang....

Side Note/Completely Different Note/Bonus Note:

'Xcept on my last night in Jakarta and if no one drove me to my hotel, I didn't really get to experience sleeping on the streets of Indonesia. Got a nice dark choco-colored studio apartment in Kemang Icon, instead. Sharing some pics from my phone cam 'cos it's a memorable room for me and you'll never guess why. But really, there was a fur blankie and the pillows were cushioned with feathers. It felt awesome. All in all. ;D

Beautiful Minds (Part Deux)

I should be looking online for decent hotels to stay in for next week's trip to Jakarta and Bali. Instead, I go on the web to gawk at them brains behind some of my fave collections for Spring-Summer 2010.

Christophe Decarnin
Stella McCartney
Gareth Pugh
Phoebe Philo

Yes, it's so smooth when they look as cool as their masterpieces.

P.S. - I can sleep on the streets of Indonesia. But not really. ;D

Not So Guilty Pleasure

Yes, I find a lot of their stuff before their Spring 2009 collection (except for those Louboutin shoes with clawlike details and divine cobweb knits. And I know someone who tried to take up knitting classes to learn how to make those knits. And by someone, I mean me.) to be crap. The conspiracy theorist in me is saying that they might be the Milli Vanilli of fashion. I also heard that their clothes from their show back in 2006, I think, were really badly made.

But now, I think they have really interesting collections. An array of fabric on a single piece of clothing. Those cobweb knits. The leather ribcage. The mix of color. The tribal-esque styling. I think I'm beginning to like Rodarte. Now if only those cardigans weren't too fucking expensive...

Green, Green, Green!

Okay. Blame it on Balmain but the color green from the camouflage spectrum gets prominent this Spring/Summer 2010. I'm glad. ;D

(Speaking of the darvil, yes.)

BONUS PIC: A Jak&Jil shoe shot, of course.

P.S. It seems that we have been ignoring this joint. Our weltanschauung needs some realignment. Or whatever. I'll post photos when I get back. If I have interesting photos, that is.
