I don't filter colors like I used to, not for this post, at least.
Here's to blog about some sketches of Pinoy contempo-artist
Kiko Escora...
Kiko Escora...
Side Note: These are just samples of his works. There is more via www.myspace.com/kokix and www.myspace.com/manilaanimal.
(I actually just swiped every thing from there, except for the shoes and pants' pic which belongs to Style Samurai.)

P.S. - I tried to do an "art" post, tried harder to talk the talk but ended up sounding like a mindless robot, as usual. LOL.
I'm such a poser!:p

**DISCLAIMER: I'm writing this additional note, hours after publishing this post. Because I'm not an "art" person and won't be able to do his work any justice by elaborating on it, the focus here, instead - thru casual, thoughtless blogging - is on the multi-facets of this man's thingy as artist/painter, "musician" and stylista. Ergo, it's very appropriate to conclude that when I grow up, I wanna be Kiko Escora.

poser? nah. not at all. :)
his work is incredible. charcoal is not easy to work with...at least not for a painter like myself. i admire the fact that he can produce such crisp images. it looks really pro.
Ms. Clayton, beautiful woman with the fab hair, please remember that when this blog is making millions from Prada, Chanel and Dior ads, we shall be sending you a gift voucher for the best shoes of whatever season it falls on 'cos we love yah! :)
Yep, Kiko Escora is a pro. I think his art sells well in Asia and that he's also done exhibits in NY and that there might be one in the latter again soon. I admire his work, too, when I think about it. LOL.
Thank you. :)

Well, art is never easy to write about... I'm an art history major these days and I still get lost in translation often times. It is interesting as it is intimidating and complex.
Anyhooooo, I love Kiko's work!!!
