Public Display of Materialism

Some interesting items I saw while spending hours and hours in front of the computer petrifying my brain with online window shopping. A couple of concrete and asphalt inspired pieces from the A/W 09 collection of Hussein Chalayan.

A jacket in the most amazing shade of grey with concrete facets impression. Really amazing. Just look at the details. Very impressive. Looks hard and soft at the same time.

A pair of asphalt print pants.

To die for. Well, not exactly. We're not that materialistic. But still, sheer genius. And we here at the Monochromator camp are in love with the color (okay, okay, shade, not color), grey.

OMG! X2, those are so drop dead gorgeous! And, I am materialistic! What the frock were you saying prior to that? ;p

Post of the century, love. Ackak!

Dammit! I want that jacket and pants combination! The material is so out of this world. The hard and soft contrast on the pattern, shape, material and design is brilliant. I'm floored by it.
