(Denim*2) + (Leopard*2) = Emmanuelle Alt

It must be my lucky day. I've always loved the look of denim on denim with leopard prints. I think it's so rock 'n roll. Imagine how I thrilled I was when I chanced upon scanned copies of some of Emmanuelle Alt's editorials for Parisian Vogue from the previous year. So hot!

Eye Candy for the (Emmanuelle Alt) Style Hungry

Style... It's that elusive factor. You either have it or not. Very well, Parisian Vogue's Fashion Editor, Emmanuelle Alt, has got it all and a bag of chips -- without effort. She's so rock 'n roll.

Sharing with you my extensive (LOL) collection of E.A.'s photos from the best ever blog in the whole wide world. It's Jak&Jil or nothing, bebe! Rawrrr... Devour, devour. ;)

Side Notes:

1. Regarding Ian Curtis (ha ha), some wuss thought I wasn't gonna publish his silly comment on my previous blog in the below. Of course, I dig scathing comments (view my profile under "interests"), and of course, I love Joy Division and have seen the movie "Control". WTF was Mr. Anonymous thinking?! LOL! =D

I have an epileptic friend whom I grew up with. I know of her seizures and the meds involved. Also, there is scientific proof that exercise is beneficial in combating depression. Perhaps, I wasn't kidding when I said that basketball would have made tortured souls --I meant those energy vampires who walk around thinking that the weight of the world is on their shoulders-- feel better. Chill, dude. Play basketball and don't read my blog if you take me too seriously! =D

2. Jak&Jil should be made into a coffeetable book. I know I'd want it. Wouldn't you all? :)

Jackets are the New Shawl ;p

There are days when I can control the urge to not make this blog an all-about-Carine blog. But she's so hot, sometimes I just can't help but give in.

Tell me, how come she makes wearing her jackets like they're shawls seem so right? Like somehow, it's really how jackets are supposed to be worn. Yes, with the sleeves dangling limp like that and all. ;)

BONUS PIC (nope, not an ad for stockings/hosiery): Carine Roitfeld's Perfectly-Toned, Perfectly-Shaped and Perfectly-Proportioned Gams

Other Additional Value: Her Gorgeous Smile with that Gorgeous Hair and so-Mod Brows. (Do I sound like a Biology class dork who's dissecting the parts of what should have just been called a really really really gorgeous and feisty Parisian with really really really superior style and taste and who also happens to be the editor-in-chief of the best fashion mag in the world who is also the mum of 2 really really lovely 20-something kids. And she's got a hubbie whom she's never had to divorce -- wow.

Alright, saying too much like usual. I just wanted to point out that I'm all for the bitches of this world. It makes me happy when women are so adept at being strong and beautiful. Who's afraid to be 50+ if 50 can look as great as her? Thank you, Carine.)

P.S. - I read that she does Pilates everyday to keep in shape. She actually starts her day with a session before she hits work in the morning. Her beauty secret? She said it's frequent facial massages.

Emmanuelle is the Alt

Do you find me too Vogue-obsessed? Aren't you as well? Or is that too general a view of the world? What about the hungry? What about the broken-hearted? C'mon, it's the alternative world of fashion!
It's nice to take a break. ;)

And, Emmanuelle Alt is the shit. This is her time, too, and I'm loving every minute of it.

Strike a Pose, Strike a Pose

I grew up reading the back-issues of tons of US magazines.

Imagine a small town girl in grade school reading Mirabella, Glamour, Cosmo, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, YM, Seventeen, Allure, and most frequently, Vogue -- and you got the teenage me with an eating disorder. LOL 2x!

Anyhoo, I'm a lot older now and have moved on to some of these mags' European counterparts. My next step is to subscribe to French Vogue. Nah, I won't understand a word there but it looks like it's got super cool editorials so it could be worth the splurge and stuff.

Here's a sample of what French Vogue did with my all time fave friggin awesome model Christy Turlington in their October '08 editorials:

Yummy, ey?

Note: Christy had red lips that's penciled in on the 1st pic, but I am the monochromator. I abhor red.
